Default HID problem

I have an 07 GS 350 with 67,000 miles, and my headlights keep acting up. Sometimes the right one doesn't work, sometimes the left one, sometimes both. If you turn them off and back on , they might come back on or go back out. It has gotten to the point I can't even drive it at night. Could this be bad ballasts? I have no idea what it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

yup, more than likely your bulbs are getting old.

I too have heard about this being a common problem. Does anyone else find it odd that our hid bulbs have a very short life span in our cars? I have an 01 and 02 acura with both original hid bulbs, no problems what so ever. BTW, love my gs350, but it also doesn't work on one side sometimes.

I had the same problem with just my right bulb. The dealer replaced it and I never had a problem ever since.

Swap the left with the right. That fixed my issue strangely enough. If that doesn't solve the problem then its time for some new bulbs.

Had the same issue. Got the dealer to check and they replaced driver side bulb.

Man was that an expensive lesson. When the right goes I'll just do it myself.

Garax bulbs, $100 a pair on amazon/ebay. Best investment I've made as they've lasted forever now

Well, I I replaced them with Garax 6000k, and so far so good. Hope that was the problem. Thanks for the replies.
