Lexus Recall

Got it done today. First driving impression is the car idles a bit smoother. Anyway I am happy with the service, on top of that a free tank of gas and a car wash always a plus.

Got mine back and seems a little smoother and quieter. No big change. Got tank of gas, wash and confirmed they did not reuse the valve cover gaskets. Good deal afterall!

Same here. Dropped the car off at 8:30. Done by 4:30.
Got gas tank filled.
Honestly, I couldn't tell any difference in noises and couldn't tell if they opened the engine up.
Idle is still the same around 600 RPM.

It would possibly make a big mess if they ruined the integrity of the existing gaskets opening up the covers then tried to reuse them. My experience has been to always replace a gasket once you open something up that has one.

Redux: Will this procedure make getting to the sparkplugs easier? If so, I may have the dealer install new ones when the recall service is done.
Also, will the mechanic possibly check for coolant leaks, which could result in me opting for a new water pump.
Thanks
...also fwiw, I called the dealer to schedule the recall work, and am taking the car in on the 26th of this month. I was told they're doing one car per day, and the procedure takes about 6 1/2 hours.

Anyone else?
So funny thing, Got mine back today and it feels like it is a bit “rougher” also steering feels like it now has a drag on it. Then again, it could all be in my head since they had me driving around an ES350H for 3 days. I’ll wait a few days to see if I get used to it or if it gets worse…

I had my spark plugs done with the recall work and they charged me $230 and i had the diff changed and the charged me $92. The plug job was at a discount so they said... lol..i went ahead and had it done since i had 70k miles on the car.
