I bought an 08 GS460 around christmas with 116,000. Other then replacing the very expensive struts, it's been rock solid reliable (It has 130k now) (I drive a ton of highway). What experiences do you guys have with your GS's? Are there milages where things start to fail and I should expect?

I just sold my 460 with 230k on it, it started to burn oil and run a little rough every once in a while, didn’t figure out why, could’ve just been a bad PCV. Only real issues I had with it in 100k miles were the starter went out around 170k, and the struts I replaced after 220k. Pretty sure it was on the original alternator, the serpentine belt will need replacing at some point, spark plugs. Both my rear calipers slide pins froze up which I guess was common with this gen. Changed the trans fluid once, the power train is very solid. I actually miss the car a lot
I just picked up a 08 Black and tan GS460 today. Has 250k Km. The 460's in Australia have no options, they come fully loaded. but we never got AWD on any model. I had a 05 GS300 previously, and enjoyed owning it.
Got my 2007 GS460 2 weeks ago. Quite happy with it except for the 180km/h speedometer. If Sector7 ever decides to respond and sell me a tune for my vehicle. I might consider changing the speedometer, lol.
The Recall on the 460 was only on the '08. Hence why i'm trying to find an '09 and up..
The GS430 is already a strong car, no need to for upgrade unless you need to replace the car or have to have the most powerful one or just bored.. Me I'm bored and want more power also i'm one Generation back... LOL
I have an '08 GS 460 and I found no recalls on the vin. It's at 156,000 miles and still going strong.

I changed the cooling system at 150,000. Someone had used DexCool on it and it rotted the radiator. I changed the radiator, thermostat, and waterpump then flushed the block with distilled water and put 3 gallons of Toyota Pink in there. Cost under $300 after I was done.
Breakdown of rarity of GS460 in New Zealand
2007 would be the 2008 model year but 2005? Something funny going on there
Also most of these are all JDM spec imports with 1UR-FSE
NZ New models also come with 1UR-FSE

STILL trying to get NZTA (useless *bleeping ******) to alter the rego records on mine, idiots VIN'd it as a GS430 and talk about a regular freaking circus to get that corrected! 🤐 Mines '08, and Japan says it's Aug '08 so think my '08 is an '08 🤣 Where are you pulling that data from?
Carjam
Mine is listed as a 4WD
But I can't be bothered to fix it
Unfortunately mine was originally registered under my dad's name and I don't want to change it as it will add another owner on the car (1 owner car before me)
