Heard it in a youtube clip and in real life..... If I could imitate that sound on my GS430 I would pay $$ for it

Likewise ibidu.... I have about a few friends.... m5, 745, 750, 760, alpine b7, m6, and they all hate the maintanence, but love the car...

I'm in the midst of convincing my aunt to steer away from BMW.... but if she doesn't listen, she's gonna pay the price.

You cannot avoid the "rice" phenomenon if you have a V6. Sorry.

it's time for someone to swap in a 2jz in the 3rd gen. I wonder how much the work would cost. Someone referred the jdmenginedepot website to me (i know it's old news) but the 2jz is $6500. so $6500+cost of work = ????

Come to Canada... even my small town, you can get a 2nd gen. front clip with a complete GTE for 4-5k, and all needed parts. Unless you want the absolute latest version of the GTE since it had some change in the VVTI portion of the motor IIRC.

Either way, you can score high miler 3GS' or a light front end damaged 3GS for dirt cheap, toss another 10k into it with a 2JZ and you're laughing with a wicked car, thats in this age, and with a legendary motor.

It would be cool to see the 3GS with a 2JZ to be the bigger brother to the 2IS swap from last year. I would assume the electronic grannies would be on the same level...

It's because our headers are fine tuned. Uneven headers= moar of that gurgle/mean sound the mustangs and variants make.

I personally feel some nice 180 degree headers would be DOPE.... Too bad our cars aren't tunable .

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trks...at=0&_from=R40

Plenty online for much cheaper.... the 2jz is getting dated as the days go by

I'd personally aim for something bigger...

They even have 3UR performance parts in the works! I just wonder how they run EMS systems on their cars.
