Spilled oil on engine - now power steering dead
I need help troubleshooting the power steering; the power steering went dead after I accidentally spilled oil on the engine.
I was refilling my engine oil when I knocked over the funnel and spilled about ½ a quart of oil down the engine sides. I didn't think much of what happened – wiped off as much of the spill as possible and went on my way. When I started the car later the power steering was dead.
Thank you, any pointers on where I should start the investigation?

Oil is not a conductor of electricity, so I doubt that's what stopped your electronic power steering. It might have just been a fluke that it happened.
You said a half a quart, maybe try running Gunk engine cleaner or some other form of engine cleaner to clean down the crevices you can't reach?
