heartbreaking day
Hi to all the lexus owners, I wanted to share two photos with my Lexus GS300 2007.
I live in Latvia, city Riga, and we have regular problems with our cars, such as Lexus, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche etc. our car mirrors being stolen every day.
That's the way how others try to make money. To stole a both mirrors need only 14-20 seconds on brutal way.
Question - do you have same problems ?

The funniest is that the first cars get robbed with russian registration number plates, those are very rich peoples who bought investments in Latvia so they can get residenc permit. But anyway that's sad. We mark mirrors but thats not reason to stop steal.

yeah.... in Canada usually the car tends to be more interesting than the mirrors. I mean... what do they do with these mirrors? try to sell them to people looking for mirrors only.... which in your own words is "common"
Anyway jokes aside, some people are just ding*****s, I feel sorry for what has happened to you.

You guys need to come up with detachable mirrors, this way you can take them home with you.

Like people don't have enough to worry about. Now we need to bring our mirrors in the grocery store with us so they don't get stolen. Like back in the day people would carry around their whole CD player so it would t get stolen haha

The reason why mirrors are stolen ? the "black" market - they sell them for a big price.
For example - x2 mirrors, x2 mirror holders from Lexus part seller costs 2400 USD + painting, and work.
In "market" stollen mirrors goes for 700 USD.
We mark the mirror with VIN or number plate numbers - but thats not a problem to sell stollen mirror not in the same country, but sell them for example in Russia.
