Possessed Radio Issue
Hey CL,
I have a 07 GS350 AWD, non ML, with navigation ; Have any of you 3GS owner ever encountered an issue with the radio spitting out CD's and then reinserted, cassette ejecting and reinserted, also the radio turning on and off by itself? My girlfriend just called me and told me this issue, and obviously this is not normal.
Any experiences or any suggestion to why this all of sudden just happened? Im doubting that I am going to be able to replicate this issue when I get home. Any information on this would be much appreciated, Thanks!

Radio Issue
I've experienced similar issues with my 2010 GS 350 w/ mark levinson with CDs (no tape).
I can't explain it, really... i've kept a log of when it has occurred - a total of 6 times in the year and a half I've owned the car - it's longest streak was to eject 3 of the 6 CDs in a row.
It has done it completely on its own, and a couple of times it'll happen if I lightly press on the plastic anywhere near the eject button (meaning - i meant to change the track and missed by a slight bit and hit the surrounding plastic fascia). See youtube video below. Mine appears to be worse when humidity is high - or after a heavy rain, may be coincidental - but i HOPE no moisture is getting into the center of the dash!
There are plenty of other reports of this behavior on the site (just search) - some people have had their radios replaced as a result.
It's mildly amusing, i'm not sure i want them to rip the dash apart to replace it since that's really the only thing that it does poorly (but glad i'm under warranty until 2018 anyway).

I have a 09 GS350 and it happened about 3/4 times in the last six weeks. The first time when I hit a pot hole and the CD ejected then it started to do it on it's own.... I thought I was losing it.

that was awesome, he touched the panel like there was secret button there and a CD ejected PHAHAHA!
I'd say loose buttons, bad connections, or a short in the button sequences (button inprints are put into the system through shorts, sort of like a computer button that turns it on and off).
My uncle had similar issues and Lexus replaced it.
GL folks!
