Novice - I want to buy GS300
Hi guys,
I am from svk and due to almost no informations or forums here, I appeal to you.
I want to buy lexus gs300 (instead my honda accord) and I cannot find aby tips or "guide". (I wanted to buy a GS450, but they are very expensive here )
I found nice one, year 2007 wirh 200.000 kilometers (125.000 miles).
Can you give me some tips, what should I focus on?

the 2006 gs300 is a tad differant than the 2007 gs350 power wise not much one beet me by a nose, i bought a 2006 gs300 with a oil consumption problem but the car ran smooth as silk ,but the dealer rebuilt the engine anyway for free ,so now i have a brand new gs300 , the gs350 has a better media system to input your phone and devices

There is a pretty significant power difference between the 300 and the 350. The 350 you raced probably didn't know YOU were racing.
Also, not all 350's have USB or aux inputs.

I gotta agree with Schmexus on this one.... The GS350 gets beaten by a nose from the gs430, and the gs430 annihilates the GS300.... Something must have been wrong with that GS350 you were racing verly .
On another note. I would steer away from the GS300 OP, as they're prone to the oil consumption problem,. you're also in a country where I'm unsure of whether or not Lexus will take care of this. There's a few members outside of the US, whom have had problems claiming their engine rebuild from the dealership because they were not in the states.
We are spoiled here

Oil consumption is problem for 2006 and 2007? And what about 2008+? I will ask the dealer in my country if they will fix this issue for free...
GS350 model - in europe maybe I can find 1-2cars for sale, not more, so I dont want 350
450h 2006-2007 also have the oil consumption problems?
// just one question - Lexus for USA - they were made in Canada, but for Europe - they were made in Japan. All cars have the oil problems?

So far, ONLY GS300 have oil consumption. GS350 and GS450 might have clogs in the DI (direct injection) system. I'm very vague of the GS350, but it has its recalls on the car.
GL!
P.S. YES, all GS300's have oil consumption problems, no matter where you go, it's within the design of the engine.

im going to agree with schmexus and gokou on this. im thinking that's my ticking problem in my gs is the direct injection. but other than that she is purrrfect.
I have heard a lot of problems with the 300 like creeks and rattling in the dash, oil consumption, and other small things.
I believe the 08's came with the aux standard. USB was integrated later on I believe.

ys the service manager showed me the updated piston rings and seals compaired to the old ones
my engine was in pieces, they have all the parts in stock and usually have you done in 3-4 days with a added bonus of giving you as 2014 gs350 loaner

All GSs are manufactured in Japan, this includes cars made for the American and European markets. Currently, the only Lexus manufactured in Canada is the RX 350.
