Default Who's Exhaust System has rust, leaking, etc

I have come across reading about all the issues 2006 AWD models have, and one in particular is the exhaust system. It lacks a proper replacement. After reading about people's exhaust system leaking having rust through out, I decided to take a look at mine. Boy is it full of rust. If we can get a few people that are interested in a proper replacement, maybe we can get Borla to build one. Anyone interested?

It seems to come from only awd's! The repair is very simple, most muffler shop will charge $20-$40 bucks to remove the heat shields and clamps and weld it all together. Without the shields! The heat shields and clamps are the problem they collect dirt and debri from the top and theres no drain for it. So water/moisture sits and slowly rotts away the pipe.

I just got a 06 430, I took a peak under the car and notice some rust spots on the axle end of the exhaust. It just strange that my 430 has rust spots and my 02 IS300 doesn't have any.

+1 Yup... This is what I did. I can imagine that this is the best way until its simply just a mess. Depending on how long someone plans on keeping their car, they could spend the $1,500 or so it would be for a new mid-pipe. I have considered the new mid-pipe because the rest of the car seems like it will last for many many years to come.

I noticed that on mine as well. Didn't think it was an awd issue till now. I just though mine had rust because its original owner live in an area that snowed a lot. Im planning on replacing my full exhaust, so i guess its not something for me to worry about.

I to just got an 07 gs350 awd. I was thinking my pipes are rusted because I got the car from a place that has snow.
I would like to get something that makes good sound after 3 rpm but is quiet at low rpm. I dont want that hum inside the car at low rpm`s.
I was thinking the INVIDIA Q300 or if JoeZ, or if someone wants to sale there older F Sport exhaust to me makes them for 3rd gen models. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Guys Borla is willing to look into making an affordable replacement for 3rd Gen GS, including AWD models. However they will only consider it if there is a good amount of people that are interested in it.

That is good news. Is there a price range? will it be a full system? and is there a video example of how loud it will be. for example will it be kinda like f -sport or something more? just wondering before I commit to buying.
