New tire and rims - vibrations??
#17
Every shop should have the machines calibrated on a regular basis. If you get the chance to watch the techs work, you can tell if they are trained correctly. The NTB I go to has good techs that use the correct color coded torque wrenches on the vehicles, and my tires never have had vibrations since I have my vehicles serviced there - however I had to go through a few terrible Tire shops until I found the right one.
Had the GS wheels rotated and balanced last week and they informed me the front left was bent, possibly due to a pothole. OEM Chrome 18' with Pirelli run flats.
Now the Rim shop stated it could be fix but their proccess melts the Chrome off and they will need to ship it of to California to have it re-chromed. So after an almost $400 estimate for having 1 Rim fixed, I think i can live with the issue until we get a set of new rims for it.
