Safety Recall ELF (E2F) - Potential Fuel Pressure Sensor Leak
I was talking to my brother about the recall on his honda so I decided to look up recalls on my car. It looks like there was a recall released on 10/14/2014
You can check for recalls with your VIN by using: http://www.toyota.com/recall
Description
In the subject vehicles, the sealing property of the gasket seated in between the pressure sensor and the fuel delivery pipe could become degraded. During vehicle operation, fuel could leak past the gasket. In the presence of an ignition source, this could increase the risk of a vehicle fire.
Remedy
Lexus is currently preparing the remedy for this condition. Once preparations are complete, Lexus will send an owner notification letter by first class mail to owners of vehicles covered by this Safety Recall

Nothing yet. Until Toyota/Lexus finds a remedy, we're sitting ducks. This may be a very isolated incident, but I'm curious what the outcome would look like if someone experienced the issues detailed in the recall if they will be covered for damages.

Additional Information
Found some additional information. Does tell me much more that what I already know (I have three included in this recall), but it does break down how many of each model is included in the recall.

No idea when it will be ready. I had my GS460 in for servicing at the local dealership 3 days ago and they did not mention the recall. We'll just have to sit tight for a little while longer.

I just took my car in today for an oil change and left with a rental because it has the gas leak. If you look to back of the motor there is a gas hose with a silver grommet on it and is headed to the injectors. If that grommet is black or brown then odds are you have the gas leak recall as well. You can only see it from the left side of the motor. I have an IS350 2010

Received the recall notice about a possible leaking fuel pressure sensor gasket from Lexus Canada in the mail yesterday. Mine is 06 GS300 AWD. According to the notice, Lexus has not had a working remedy procedure or parts in place yet though they are putting efforts on working out one. They will send in another notice when they are ready to take in and fix cars. The notice advises owners subject to the recall that in the mean time they should watch for smell of fuel around vehicle being recalled, during and right after driving it, and if positive, should stop and turn off car immediately and contact a local Lexus dealer for a diagnosis. A confirmed fuel gasket leaking car owner will get a loaner until the recall is done.
