Default Passenger airbag OFF illuminated with heavy passenger in seat

135 plus pound passenger with seat belt on. Was intermittent on/off with passenger but now seems always off (off light 'on' lol) meaning the passenger airbag is disabled.
I know the es350 was so bad like this that there was a threat of class action.
I've read the weight sensor is in the passenger seat rail and you can also do a calibration with a scan tool.
anyone else have a fix?

Lol. From what I understand under100 lbs to deactivate the airbag. My problem was that there is a sensor in the seat belt retractor that tells the computer how far the retracted is pulled out. With a skinny passenger it's not enough. Pull out some extra seat belt and my system now stays on

Oh ok that makes sense since they don't want the airbag to activate if a small child is sitting upfront.

How were they sitting in the seat? I was freaking out a little when I saw the same light with my girlfriend in the seat, but she was sleeping, leaning against the door, so her sensor wasn't fully triggered. Once she woke up and sat back down, it went off. Just a thought.
