I got my summer wheels and tires all put together with TPMS (same type as stock) and went to program them into the car with Techstream but didn't have the ID codes of the sensors - doh!
So I drove the car up to my local tire place and they used a reader to get the codes from each wheel, but the amount of numbers they supplied are too many to input into the software.
Does anyone know the numbering format of the sensors? I tried to omit the starting "2" but that didn't work.
I believe Toyota/Lexus TPMS have ID format of 7 Digits. I've seen most of sensors have the format of mixed Alpha and Numeric but have seen some with just Numeric.
After market Reader/Loader tools such as the ATEQ have 8 digits so putting "ZERO" as the leading digit will work.
Here is a pic from my IS350 TPMS
Hey there, it looks like your familiar with Techstream and I have a question for you.
When programing the a new TPMS in Techstream is all that you have to do is enter/replace the code of the new sensor in Techstream? (I found out which sensor is bad by letting air out of each tire and the one that did not change was the bad sensor)
Or is there a initialization process that you have to do after the new sensor is installed and code is changed in Techstream?
I have been dealing with a TPMS issue for a while now and I thought I had it fixed but my light popped back on after a short drive which I was expecting because after the new sensor was installed Techstream never showed the air pressure for that wheel
Its possible that Amazon listed the TPMS I purchased from them as compatible when in fact its not. I ordered part number 974-033. Amazon says its works but on other sites, my 2007 GS450H is not listed. It is on the 315mhz band though.
