Definitely not worth re-doing those wheels. You'd have to spend some serious time sandblasting and refinishing the faces. It would end up costing you more than buying a used set.
The big problem is the seating surface - once that starts to pit and you get those tiny leaks you're screwed.

But the Duplicolor silver wheel paint is usually a good stock match if you get a used set that just needs a little touch up.

That's not even worth painting. The original paint is harder and more durable than typical car paint.

Reminds me I should start waxing my wheels. I see some pitting starting to form.
What is pitting? I'm kind of new to this stuff..

Pitting is like rust in a way - it starts to eat the metal and it's no longer smooth. Any finish (paint, clearcoat, chrome) that is over a pitted area will start to flake off.

The seating surface is the inner parts of the wheel's lips - where the tire seats to the wheel. If you try to seat a tire onto a surface that isn't smooth (pitting isn't smooth), the possibility of tiny air leaks are present and very difficult to fix. Unlike the body of a car, some bondo and paint won't fix wheel pitting.
