Default 2006 gs300

I have been looking at used Lexus for a while. I almost went for a is250 awd but it was in a pretty decent accident and the dealer was trying to play it off like it was no big deal. I found a 2006 gs300 awd with about 100k on it and they are asking 13k for it. its fully loaded with navi and most of the options available that year. I have read through the post about the issues with this year the oil consumption and other things. It does look like it has a pretty decent service history. i logged into Lexus website to pull up the detail and it looks pretty decent for maintenance history. I know a lot of people say just a 350 but there really aren't that many in price range I am looking. Is there anything else special to look for?
Thanks

Just from the point of the oil issues I would not buy it. You might have to expand the search range and travel to get a nice car.

I know that has been an issue with some cars in this year. Most of the maintenance has been done by lexus and they don't show any records of oil consumption but i know that doesn't mean it isn't an issue with this car. thanks for you input.

If 13k is your budget then look for a different model or brand. It's not worth the risk because it is a very expensive repair. That car is about to be 10 years old...spend that 13k on something newer.
