Default New GS350 Owner! Could Use Some Tips

Whats up CL!

After losing my '03 GS430 a few months ago to an accident, I finally got myself the '07 GS350 AWD, and I absolutely love this car. This time went to a toyota dealer and bought a 30K mile service warranty that covers everything but maintenance. The previous GS had 160K on it, the new one has 99K and not sure if I am just hopped up on the new car but the difference in how smooth it is to drive the 07 is very noticeable.

Just wondering if any other members with this model could share any tips on keeping the car in shape. I was able to take care of the '03 pretty well with help from CL

Some questions I have:

- The passenger side headlight seems to go out by itself. I can turn it back on with the light switch but a few minutes of driving it will go off. What can I do to fix or diagnose this (lamp vs ballast)?

- Is it possible to have the mirrors fold/unfold by them when I enter/exit car?

- I have an "AFS" switch, but it does nothing (no lights on dash either).

- Is it possible to install parking sensors?

- Is it possible to upgrade sound system? No Mark on the version I got. Just navi and camera.

- Does anyone else lose bluetooth connection when trying to sync contacts?

Congrats on the car!
- Sounds like the passenger light bulb needs replacing but you can verify by switching the bulbks between the driver and passenger side to see if the problem follows the bulb.
- There is NOT a setting for auto fold/unfold mirrors
- The AFS, i believe is for the headlights to "swivel" in direction of the steering wheel > 25mph
- I'm sure you can, but it will be pricey to install OEM style parking sensors
- No cheap way to upgrade to ML, others have aftermarket speakers or add a woofer. ML isnt that great.
- I don't have my contacts synced with my car. Bluetooth works good for me.

^ Everything msgs350 noted, but if you have the button yet do not see a light illuminate on the dash, you more than likely do not have this option. The best way to test it is, with the headlights on, start the car and see if the beam dips down for a brief moment.

Thanks a lot for the tips. I found a tutorial on how to replace lamps so I'll follow that to do the test.

- How does the cig lighter work? I push it in and it doesn't stay in the socket, just pops right back out. It gets pretty hot trust me this idiot touched it because it wasn't orange and lit up but very hot.

- I have a button next to the "fold mirror" button that looks like a washer and mirror/headlight icon. What does this do? Clicked a few times and nothing. Manual says it cleans but I forget what.

Ah great so I don't have any of those features, AFS, Headlight Washer, and Rain sensing wipers?
