Default Drove over a curb...Help

So my car went over a curb. (not me driving) . Initial damage was severely damaged front rim and some cosmetic damage to uderside of front bumper...and alignment being off. Got it home on a spare . After noticed a oil leak ... found it to be the strut ..replaced that took it for allignment. Dealer didnt perform alignment instead sent me back with a 3000 dollar estimate for repairs. He wants to replace The knuckle, hub bearing ***, lower control arm and ball joint.

Question is is it that easy to bend the knuckle.

other damage was the rear rim being slightly bent

these were f-sport rims http://www.motorworldhype.com/tag/f-sport-wheels/

Any thoughts.

When I had my shop, I would have quoted the same thing. Yes, it is very easy for a spindle/knuckle to get damaged in such a manner you described but the reason they are wanting to install all new everything is nobody can say, with 100% certainty, exactly which parts is damaged. If the dealer says you have a bent strut and they replace it and it is still out of specs, most consumers are going to say "You said it was a strut, it wasn't and I want my money back", then you have a hassle. We replaced everything they are quoting, or we didn't do the work. Even the shop will tell you in all likely hood not everything they are quoting is damaged, but they are the ones at risk of doing a repair a second time with a disgruntled customer which is just a big hassle they'd rather avoid.

Oh man sorry to hear about the bending of those f-sport wheels, those are super expensive. Not sure how much you paid for the strut but I just replaced two front struts from KYB and it was $200 for both. 1 OEM strut I believe is about $200. The other parts maybe get them from ebay for cheaper and get the parts installed from a reputable shop.
