Default 2007 GS 350 90k Service

I've got 90,000 miles on my GS and I'm confused about the timing chain and 90k service. I looked at lexusdrivers but I didn't see anything that called out a timing chain replacement in the scheduled maintenance section. I've also seen some people online say that the timing chain should last the life of the car. I know last time I was in for service the advisor commented that the next one would be a big one. Should I expect the timing chain replacement or is that only in extreme situations? Can someone compare the typical cost of a 90k service at a dealer vs. an independent lexus specialist?

Timing chain won't be touched, I believe the 90k service includes the water pump, coolant flush, brake fluid flush, and possibly spark plugs. I'd imagine it would run around $1000 at a dealer maybe 700ish at an independent

How long have you owned the car? What have you or the previous owner done already?

Go independaent if you can, but make sure they use OEM (Toyota/Denso) parts. Expect around $1k for the water pump, tensioner and belt... etc. . Spark plugs is a toss up, some people do them at 60k, some do them around 100k. Now is a good time to get all the fluids changed if you haven't already.

Thank you both for the replies. I've owned the car since June 2009 when I bought it from a dealer as a CPO car. I've only taken it to the dealer but not sure how much longer I will keep the car so that plus the age seems like a good time to explore a dealer alternative. If anyone has any experience with Davenport Motors in Dallas I would like to hear your opinions. They seem to be a larger lexus specialist in the area.
