2007 Lexus GS350 AWD
With Navigation-Without Mark Levinson
My 2007 Lexus GS350 did this yesterday. Got back in car from store and no sound from speakers. The radio is on and the touch screen is working. I switched to different modes on the radio and they all worked but no sound from speakers. I went to the owners manual and found out where the fuse were located in the car. There is several. I started with the 2 fuses in the engine bay in front of the Car Battery. There are 2 stereo fuses there which were not blown but they looked really worn from time. Remember this is a 2007 and the radio is a high use feature in the car. Both fuses had burnt marks on them and indentations from all the years and use. I replaced them both with the same amp 30. Then I went under the driver's side and replaced the #3 TV 7.5 amp fuse for the radio (Probably had nothing to do with it but I changed because it looked bad). There is also a radio fuse here #13 a 10amp. It was good and didn't change. I also pushed all the fuses in just to make sure they were seated. Turned the car back on and Thank GOD it is back working!
P.S. Went to advance auto to get the fuses and the fuses are low profile mini fuses. Make sure you get the right ones. It is back working fine. I always start with fuses if I have a problem and replace them if they look worn even though they are not blown especially considering the age of my vehicle.
