Default Break Pads wear 2010 GS350 and 2006 GS430

I am sorry if this subject has been talked about to death, in any way I would like some help.

I am in the market for a 2010 GS350 or 2006-2007 GS430.

I have been reading a lot of Service Records and i noticed that most of the vehicles have excessive break pads wear, 10-14k miles.

My question is:
1. Is it for all GS 3rd generation? Or is it year related?
2. Is it the poor quality of the pads that causing the wear, and if replaced with after market it solves the issue? And if that so, which pads needs to be purchased?
3. How is the suspension on these models, like shocks and shock plates...
And any additional info is appreciated

I have a 2006 GS430 and I love the suspension and I am sure its stock and I have 140,000+ miles on mine. On a recent 800 mile road trip one way I was very comfy. As far as the brakes go that is very dependent on the quality of the parts and even more so on your driving habits.

Could probably be that the customer complained of vibrations. Because on my car I have over 35k on the pads and they still look new.

Common issue is the brake pads do squeel once or twice until they heat up, that could be another issue they took it to the dealer.

At over 100-130k I replaced shocks and suspension bushings. There price pretty good and they really didnt need to be changed.

The GS350's if your looking for one at or around 80k miles make sure they water pump has been replaced. This is a common problem. Other then that the GS350 is a solid engine. The GS430 has a timing belt unlike the 350 that has a chain.

08-up has the newer front end, and some newer interior bits aswell as electronics. Something to consider!

There is a TIB on dusty front brake pads. Which is normal. However they made an alternative brake pad which is less dusty. Will give those a try. I have heard performance is not impacted.

Brake life tends to be very closely related to how a car is driven. I'm fairly new to these cars but I researched before I bought my GS350 and did not run across any large scale mention of brake wear issues.

Dont get a V6 unless the piston rings have been replaced otherwise get the V8. As far as break pads stay away from oem and get an aftermarket semi metallic. More cost effective and way less brake dust. I've been using autozones C-Max. They're a bit pricy but they pay for themselves easily, bring back your used ones and they'll warranty exchange them for a new set that will last for a year depending on how much/hard you drive
