So I bought this used GS last year. It does not come with a rear view camera but there is a hole there. I assume there used to be a camera with this car since there is a hole. So I guess this is a 2 part question:

1. If there is a hole, does it mean it used to have a camera? If so, can I just buy a new camera, set it up, plug and play that easy?

2. Can the car still have a hole if the car never came with a camera to begin with?

The hole on the left of license plate light is the your key to open the trunk. Do you have nav ? if not you probably dont have rearview camera. the camera goes on the right side

To my knowledge a non-nav GS never came with a backup camera. The one in the picture you posted is a key slot for to open the trunk.
