How many different black interiors for 3rd gen?
I have been hunting for a replacement door panel for my 07. It has black seats but a dark gray pebbled vinyl door panel. I have found a leather or leather looking panel, likely not from an 07 GS350 but a fit, and another grey panel which looks the right color but smooth vinyl. Pics of those two plus my own are attached. Are there smooth ungrained vinyl panels or is it maybe just the picture? I have linked to the Ebay ad because the thumbnails are too small to see detail. I hope that's okay. What makes it more confusing is that some panels are listed as a fit for all 3rd Gens and some are listed as only for 06-07

Perhaps others can better chime in but from what I know if items say they specifically fit certain model years (i.e. 06-07) as opposed to also fitting 08-11 model years ... I would stick with what the listing says. The reason being although the 06-11 GS are all considered 3rd-gen GS's ... there are definitely interior and exterior differences in design/shape. So even the smallest of differences in design is huge when it comes to proper placement of replacement parts.
Also if you buy a product that truly is made for your model year as per eBay's item description ... if you buy and it doesn't fit then you can return it (even if a seller says CAN'T return; you can trust me). But they will require proof you are the owner of the car that bought the part for and require proof of the model year of your car. However if you can provide proof of ownership and model year then you are SOL and can't return part. This is understandable as sellers don't want people buying a 06-07 part for their 08-11 GS and it not fitting and then trying to return it ... even though Seller specifically states part is only for 06-07 model years.

Thanks for the response. So I bought the smooth looking one, and on receipt it was a perfect match for the existing. I found a body man who will charge me $50 to install so a little over $150 in total. It wouldn't be that expensive to change all 4 door panels and go full leather because I just went on ebay and there are tons of great JDM parts out there. The front seat back-pad I changed as well but it was almost $400, and half of that labor so more costly to do the seats if you wanted a full color change.
