Default My "new" 2008 GS350

Hi All, Just bought this 2008 GS350 and very pleased with the way it drives, features, etc. It's been well maintained, has 60,000 miles, no accidents, and it's clean. The wheels could use refinishing but I'll wait until the Spring. Might also remove the clear bra. Unfortunately it doesn't have the ML stereo, but the stock system sounds pretty good.

Congratulations on your purchase, the car looks very clean. Since you're in BC, did you buy the car from the U.S.? and the wheels look clean as well from where I see them.

Thank you. I bought the car here, but it is a U.S. vehicle that was imported in 2009.

Nice car, I assume its AWD?

I've got a 2007 and actually prefer the older steering wheel style more.

Any plans for mods? Maybe window tints?

It's actually a RWD, which I like. Previously I had a '92 and a '97 SC400 and enjoyed the RWD. Lousy in the snow but we don't see a lot of that here anyway. No plans yet for mods but the window tint is a good idea, which I'm used to on my other vehicle (2005 RX 330). Yes, I'm a die-hard Lexus fan.

Nice score! Gotta love that mileage!

Is the clear bra discoloring?

The clear bra isn't discoloring. It may just take getting used to, but I can't help but always noticing the bra edge across the hood and fenders.

If wax builds up on the edges, I've used q-tips to get it out. Unfortunately black cars show it the most, so it requires a little more attention when detailing!

Interesting, I guessed AWD because I thought I saw a hump near the gas pedal.

I too like the RWD over the AWD, you get more power down to the rear wheels and get that RWD push.
I have my FWD Toyota Solara with winter tires for when it does snow.

I came from a 2005 ES330. Its true, once you own a Lexus, its hard to go back to anything else.
