Default 07 GS 350 Bluetooth audio

2007 GS 350. Does not come with Aux input or bluetooth audio. Only has bluetooth connection for phone calls. I want to be able to stream music from my phone through the car speakers.

What are my options? I've seen a few kits/wire harnesses on YouTube, but the videos were older and I wanted to make sure I don't waste my $ on outdated technology.

I believe GTA car kit is way to go for your bluetooth audio.

There are plenty of options. Do you want to Bluetooth stream your music, or use a wired connection?

I want to bluetooth stream my music. I want to be able to hop into my car and have my phone start playing my music like in newer models. I'd like the option to have a wired (aux) connection also for passengers to be able to connect their phones.

Well for bluetooth + aux, you can get several units depending on how much you want to pay – Vaistech makes a good unit but it's around $250 I believe, Grom audio makes one for a bit less. Another member recently got this: https://www.amazon.com/APPS2Car-Bluetooth-Wireless-Adapter-Receiver/dp/B01EKWLUXE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1482792961&sr=8-1&keywords=Apps2car+Lexus+Bluetooth. I'm not sure how it's working for him, but I installed their wired iPhone integration kit and it's been working perfectly so far! Since it connects to the audio system using the same 6+6 pin input as the CD changer, you should also install it with a Y splitter (https://www.amazon.com/APPS2Car-Harness-Adapter-Changer-Navigation/dp/B0179D7SIW/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1482792961&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=Apps2car+Lexus+Bluetooth) so you won't lose use of the CD changer

I also used some double sided foam tape (https://www.amazon.com/3M-38583-Exterior-Attachment-Tape/dp/B00JR4D7AA/ref=pd_sim_328_5?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00JR4D7AA&pd_rd_r=4BPQ5C0WW93M486CV1PQ&pd_rd_w=U9i95&pd_rd_wg=dw2Zc&psc=1&refRID=4BPQ5C0WW93M486CV1PQ) to secure the box to the back of the nav unit. Here's a good guide if you plan on DIYing the install: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...s-edition.html

Hi, for those with the GTA installed, do you lose the ability to answer calls through factory Bluetooth? TIA.

You can only have your phone connected to one Bluetooth device at a time for phone calls IF its connected to factory Bluetooth then the GTA kit wont work and vise versa.
With GTA kit you do have the ability to make/receive phone calls (it would automatically pause music). I have to using the GTA kit for a couple of months and it works really well.
I have deleted my phone from the factory Bluetooth so it always connects to the GTA kit automatically.

Cheers,

I have a vaistech sl3b for a few years now and no complaints. Works seamlessly and will allow me to use Bluetooth for phone as well as stream music.

Grom audio worked great for me. Easy install and always connected to my phone. Audio quality was great.

Got an 07 GS350 w/ ML in Nov & Grabbed the vais ivic unit - works great but requires an AV hdmi display adapter, hdmi cord, and an extra iphone cord. They have one for andriod too.

I'd say Grom, has bluetooth audio/aux/bt calling and usb charging, price is good and easy to install.

Bluetooth adapter Bluetooth adapter

This is what I currently use. It’s not elegant but the sound quality is great.
Best Buy for $38 bucks..
