Default TPMS issue

My display/temp/radio system went bad and I bought a salvaged one. Car Toys replaced the display and works fine. However, the TPMS light is on now and tires are fine with pressure. It won't reset as I did that from other posts here. I then read that the ecu for the TPMS is behind this console. So, maybe the tech messed something up when he replaced the display. I don't have much confidence they will know what they messed up however. Before reading that post I had called them out of curiosity to see what they did since it seemed odd. Their response was must be a bad sensor and not related. I believe it has to be if that ecu is behind that display. Any advice besides the obvious of take it back and let them dig around?

Depending on the year of the vehicle it may be as simple as the batteries in the TPMS are low or are already dead. I'm having the same issue on my car.

Hello CBlansett.
How'd you go with the TPMS light displayed. Did you get it sorted? How so? Batteries?
I have this issue in my 06 GS 4.3.

Is there a certain brand of TPMS sensors to shoot for when buying? I bought 4 Denso ones the other day and my guy said 1 of them was not reading at all. I paid $169 for 4. I ended up returning them. But I still see the TPMS light man. I know there's nothing wrong. It just needs to be relearned in the computer. Next time I take the car in for a tune up I want to completely solve that problem. So ima buy 4 more sensors but I might go with Toyota brand. I found one for cheap on eBay like $57 each. All together comes out to $230. I have another set of 18s for the GS430 that are in much better condition then the ones I have on the car momentarily. I might paint those glossy wet black and add new sensors to them. The old wheels I will have them refinished and I'll put them on my wife's RX330 later on. The TPMS sensor I have a picture for says GS300 BUT I'm sure these will fit a 430 JUST FINE. I put the picture of the item number and exact description of the sensor incase any one looking for one that's quality for cheap. Most in stores are $70 and up.
