If anyone has the arm off of a bad sensor, my sensor is good, but the arm snapped. I'd love to see if anyone has this part. Also, is the AFS tied into the suspension system?

I will tell you a funny story with AFS light flashing on my 07 GS350 RWD.
I went to a local gas station mechanic with the part(wrong part for my car) I got from Amazon and soon I found out that I've got an AFS sensor for a Prius, not GS.
They showed me and gave me the part they took off from my car and I thought "hmm I should look for the part at local auto parts" so I went around a couple of auto part shops in the area and found out that the auto-leveling sensor for my car was listed at $300 and over not to mention it came with the metal bracket that I never needed since they were sold as a unit.
I thought it was ridiculous and went home with the old part I left with.
I have some sensor cleaners (spray type) so I thought I should clean the part.
The auto-leveling sensor was located at the back of driverside rear axel.
So I diligently clean the part and went back to the gas station mechanic I originally went.
I told the mechanic that I couldn't find the part right away and I asked him to put the part back.
He asked me to pay him $40.00 for quick labor that took him 15 minutes to take the part off and probably another 10 minutes to put it back on.
That fixed my AFS lights to go away. The problem was solved. it was a bad connection since the car was over 10 years old and probably had lots of dirt and debris built up.
For me, it was worth it.

My lights do not level (didn't even know they did this) when starting the car. The afs light does not come on or blink and appears fine, until I turn the steering wheel, then the afs light starts blinking and continues to do so until the car is turned off. The stored codes that I did get through techstream are B2412 and B2413.

I have access to Techstream, but do not fully understand the software or what I should be doing. I did a live data and did notice that no matter what the value for "steering sens center pos" did not change at all and stayed at -9.0 when moving the wheel.. As far as I could tell, I was unable to move either left or right lights, I tried clicking them on through the live test, but they wouldn't switch from off in techstream, same thing happened when I tried to level them.
Hi, did you fix your AFS issue? I have the same AFS issue. If you could let me know how you fixed this issue that would be really appreciated. Thanks.

If you guys are not able to fix this easily, you might want to consider disabling the system as I did. On my car I replaced one headlight with an aftermarket that came with the auto leveling motor. Problem was it was aftermarket and the car didnt really like it. So randomly afs light kicks on for swivel motor. All I did was start the car to make sure the lights are properly aimed straight, with the steering wheel straight, and just pulled the AFS fuse. No more annoying light flashing and headlight are aimed the same.

Default 2008 GS-350 AWD issue with AFS Off light just started

I bought my 2008 GS-350 AWD two and a half years ago (in April of 2019). The AFS system never gave me a problem. A few weeks ago, the AFS Off light started blinking. At first, it only seemed to blink if the car was cold. I would go out on a hot day, drive it, and the light would not blink. But if the temperature was under 70 degrees and I went to drive, the light would start blinking either immediately, or after a minute or so of driving. I know that there is a sensor attached to the rear, driver side wheel. I looked at it and it is not broken. I've spent a bit of time reading this thread and I wonder if it might be the same problem with my car and if a recent incident may have caused the problem.

A description of the incident: earlier this year, some fool sideswiped the car and I had to get some body work done. Since the driver side (left) front wheel was hit, the body shop mechanic sent the car for an alignment. The alignment shop spotted a minor issue with the alignment; mostly it involves the right front wheel so they did not think the problem was caused by the side-swipe and it was not repaired. The body shop mechanic (the lead for the repair) told they suspect that a previous owner hit a pot hole and did some minor damage. Not enough to be a serious risk, but they said I should rotate the tires every oil change until I get this problem fixed. Here is the alignment printout:

So, a few things. The car is due for an oil change. Also, I plan to take the car to an alignment specialist to get the alignment correct. Here are some issues:

1. Is it possible that the sideswipe strike on that wheel damaged the sensor on the left front wheel?
2. Is this something a regular mechanic can fix?
3. Is this something that the alignment shop can fix?

Thanks!

I do not remeber exactly where the fuse was, but the fuse is labelled AFS. Its in the front dash either the driver or passenger side fuses. Crawl under there and open the covers and look for AFS.

Make sure the car is running, headlights on, and steering wheel is straight and then pull out the fuse.

I decided to pull the fuse for now. Next time I have the car serviced I will ask about it. This is a luxury item that is of little value. It was fuse #14 in the driver's side fuse box.

Default Fixed it !!! Check your cables!

Hi,

thanks you all for help. I had AFS blinking light issue for almost year now. I checked the under car sensors and everything was okay. B2418 error was found in tech stream.I checked everything many times. And in the end I found issue. It was broken cable right after connector. So before you will try to change whole light - check your wiring! I had to disassembly front bumper to take out the reflector and find the issue. Good luck!

White cable was Snapped
