07 gs350 possible alternator issue
So the other day I was running errands and left my wife in the car for about 30 minutes while it waa running. When I got back in I put it in reverse and went to turn and back out, power steering was not working and vsc light was on. I killed it and restarted it which was slow to start and the lights went of and power steering cane back on. Went straight home and noticed an electrical/rubber/plastic smell. I just replaced the water pump and idler pulleys a few weeks prior. Real slow to start ever since and has been parked till I have time to mess with it. Thanks for any advise you may have.

Check battery voltage - most likely it IS your alternator. If your voltage is low - trickle charge (low amperage charge ~2A) overnight to get your battery back to it's normal range, so you don't have to replace that too.

I was assuming that's what it was since there waa alot of heat coming from alternator side of motor but was wanting other opinions, thanks I will def charge the battery first. Thanks

Its more or less the alternator, its life usually runs about a good 10 years before another replacement, I've replaced mines after a huge whine/whirl noise came from the engine, the same noise that happened in my wife's scion Tc as well. When it happened to my gs, it was lucky enough to run on battery juice which was enough to get me to the dealership.
