2008 GS350 Cruise Control Switch Replacement
I bought my first Lexus a couple of weeks ago, 2008 GS 350, and the cruise control switch needs replacing, it sporadically works and feels loose. I have the new part from my dealer. Anyone done this? I know there are other models for this DIY here in the club, just want to make sure there is nothing specific to worry about on my car before opening up the column and messing with airbag stuff. Thanks!

Congrats on the new car and welcome to CL!
I don't think there's anything specific to the GS. You won't have to take apart the steering column, at most you'll have to take the wheel off. You may even be able to do it with only removing the airbag. Here's a video from another thread on removing the steering wheel:
I think it's a good idea to disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait 90 seconds before disconnecting the airbag
Anyways, good luck!
