2006 GS 350 alarm issue
Hi all,
I have recently purchased 2006 GS 350 and I am loving the car and all.
My small annoying issue that I am having is that, basically when I walk near the car with the remote key, the alarm would be set off in a matter of few seconds. The alarm is factory.
For example, I park the car, lock it, walk down the driveway to get my mails and come back to the house, the alarm goes off.
Another day I wanted to give the car a clean and I had the key in my pocket, the alarm went off just a few seconds after I started to clean the car.
Any suggestions or solutions to resolve this would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Can you check the key fob that the panic button isn't shorting?
Maybe open it up and clean the contacts.
If it really comes to it, you can disable the alarm using Toyota Techstream software. Here's how I enabled the alarm on my dad's Sienna, so disabling it would be the reverse:

Thanks for the reply.
My key fob does not have a panic button, it has lock, unlock and open trunk buttons.
Strangely enough, this alarm issue hasn't happened since I posted to the forum. Quite bizzare indeed, but will come back if I face this again.
Thanks!
