Key fob won't lock/unlock or open trunk after bodywork
Did a bit of looking around, but couldn't find my exact issue. Anyways, I just had some bodywork done on my '08 GS460, and ever since I got my car back, neither of my key fobs will lock/unlock the car. So fat I've unhooked my car battery for 10 min, and replace both of the fob batteries, but neither are working. I can start the car just fine, but I still can't lock/unlock or pop my trunk. Another thing that I found strange was the fact that I couldn't lock/unlock the car with the door switch when the car was off, but I could when it was on...
The work was performed on the rear, driver's side quarter panel. Any thoughts?
**Update**
Even more issues... Whenever I turn the car on/open the door, none of the electronics within the cabin turn on automatically when the door opens. Also, my gauge display sets back to blank (the one that shows MPG, outside temp, etc).

It sounds like they have either forgotten to plug in the door control receiver or left off an earth somewhere.
I'm going to hazard a guess that it had some repair work carried out in the RH rear...

^^^ This... sounds like the repair shop failed to reconnect something. Or maybe the battery was left disconnected for the duration of the repair work which could've sent those complicated electronics into limbo. Update us on the troubleshooting and ultimate remedy please. I'm replacing a battery soon and the thought of something similar occurring on my GS is causing me anxiety.

Well, the body shop hooked their machine up to see what went wrong, and of course, nothing came up... Going to take it to the Lexus stealership to see what they have to say. Hope I can get some kind of proof that the body shop did this.

Turns out it was a blown multiplex fuse. Thank god it wasn't anything major, but still going to be a fun task to have the body shop suck it up and pay for the repair ($170). Thanks for the input, all!

Sorry for the slow response, all. Was a busy few days. I wasn't the one who personally found the fuse, it was the Lexus service department. Once I'm home from work, I'll check over the paperwork to see if anything is on there. If not, I can always Email the service writer. Car has been great since replacing the fuse, now I'm just crossing my fingers that they didn't screw something up that'll surface again later on.
