Default Buying new headlights, anyone bought the washer covers?

today I was driving behind someone who ran over something that kicked up and put a hole through my passenger side headlight, going in Friday to get a new one, my comprehensive deductible was 500 so I'll essentially get that headlight half off, I'm thinking of buying a new driver side one at the same time so they match, my one concern is I have the headlamp washers and I know the little chrome piece on the headlight is part of the washer and not the headlight, I really don't wanna pay 350$ for the washer just to get that chrome piece, has anyone bought the cheap eBay chrome pieces and did they match up/fit with the rest of the chrome trim well?

I did, plastic chrome is plastic chrome. Mine's matched just fine.

However, you'll be spending $50 not $15ish. Along with that plastic cover is a piece of rubber behind it, and the rubber piece is like 35 or 40 bucks a piece.

Have your insurance cover that too (the washer module), you're paying a deductable for ALL the damage, let them pay for it on their dime.

GL!

I lost two washer covers in the past few months.
- one was stolen (I believe).
- the replacement was lost in the automated car wash because I improperly installed it.

I ordered 3 extra washer covers from Ebay just in case some more weirdness occurs.
They were cheap as hell though.

Sorry, that's a question I cannot answer. I never use the headlight washer. In fact, I used Gorilla Glue to secure the driver's side.

I'll post a pic after I get off my lazy butt and finish the headlight restoration with the 3M kit I ordered. My Lexi don't appreciate being photographed when she's not looking proper.

But umh, the washer cover looks nice. I just avoid automatic car washes. :-)

Mine came in and didn't properly snap on. I think there was a rubber in between the actual piece and where it was suppose to connect to on the headlight?? Like a gasket kind of thing. IDK. So I just gorilla glued it. It looks horrible now cuz you can see the yellow foamy behind it. But doesn't matter to me. The car is staying with me. And I'm buying oem headlights in the future. But I'm post pic of it soon as I see my car later. Oh btw anyone looking for that washer and have no luck go on eBay and type in 171357880642. That's an American seller so it'll get to you quicker then a seller from over seas.

Good advice. The Ebay washer covers I ordered arrived within 2-4 days. The Amazon washers I ordered took nearly a month to arrive from China
