Default Front upper control arm ball joints

I hit a hard pothole with my 08 gs350 awd and now my front upper control ball joint is making noise and has play in it. OEM the arms are over $300 each, and I dont really feel like running an aftermarket arm because the old arms bushings are great. I found some replacement control arm ball joints on Rockauto and theyre pretty cheap at $14.00

Has anyone ever replaced their control arm ball joints? I know a few aftermarket sellers used to sell chamber correction for that ball joint. My question is it a pain in the butt to remove those ball joints, will I need a press to remove and replace them?

It's not difficult to remove the ball joint from the arm if you have the C-clamp ball joint press and the correct adapters. Most part stores will rent this out.
Generally its not worth the effort changing just the ball joint, since you have to remove the arm from the vehicle to get proper access to it anyway.

Speedkar99, what would do you recommend replacing the same time ?

As I mentioned above, its probably more cost effective to replace the entire upper control arm as an assembly. Check RockAuto for replacement parts.
