Default worked perfectly for 2013 GS350 AWD

Thank you for this excellent tutorial! Watched the YouTube video and was able to swap alternator in a few hours on '13 GS350 AWD, had to disconnect radiator hose from the manifold to noodle the part in and out, but otherwise followed all instructions perfectly. I decided to not replace the back bracket, because the new part (Duralast from Autozone) is lifetime warrantied, and I may be doing the job again.

*One note to add -- with a flashlight in the right place, you can *just* see the two 'hidden' bolts -- they both feel the same, so being able to see them made getting the 12mm deep socket on the right one much easier.

So I have really appreciated this thread as it has been a ton of help. So I am having a but of trouble with the amazing nut. I think I may have rounded it off. Is it a pain to break loose or am I on the wrong one. I have a 07 gs350 with awd.

i had to replace mine at about 119k miles. it was a pain in the ***. I had to remove the CPU (black box) in order to have room (as I recall). Getting to that rear hidden nut was just a pain.

Great to hear Hang3xc!!, some people like say oh its because my car has AWD and its harder than your car(cause the internet told me) to justify why they paid for someone else to repair it rather them admitting they dont know what they are doing or didnt even try to attempt it. Yes I am referring to someone...

Thank you for the posting! This is by far the clearest information and best video on the Internet on the replacement of a Lexus GS 300/350 alternator. It's clear that you had spent a ton of effort to document this. It is very much appreciated!
