Hey guys,

I just purchased my 3GS, and I noticed something weird....

My passenger side DRL works fine during the day but once my headlights turn on, the passenger side DRL turns off while the driver side stays on.

What's going on? How do I go about fixing this?

It works perfectly fine when my headlights arent on but once they turn on, the passenger side DRL goes off.

Those are not DRL. You'll need to replace the parking\city lights on the passenger side, 194 bulb. If you look inside the housing from the front, you'll see two bulbs; the parking\city light and the drl\high beam bulb.

The DRL, which is the 9005 bulbs, turns off when the head lights are on.

I too thought my DRL was out for a while until i did a little more digging.

I recommend replacing those city lights with the Phillips 194 LED's. Makes the car look much nicer at night for the small price of $15/pair.

The DRL is the High beams on low power mode.

The city lights in the same housing as the inside High beams are up top go on when the outside low beams are on at night.
