Front Exhaust Pipe for 2007 GS350 AWD
Hi everyone,
I need advice from experts on this forum.
I have 2007 GS350 AWD and need to replace front exhaust pipes assembly. I found one on eBay. Listing says it is was taken off of 2006 Lexus GS300 RWD and part number says 17410-31520. I sent message to the seller and he says it will fit my car.
Then I did more research and found out that part number for 2007 GS350 is 17410-31460.
Is seller correct saying that his exhaust pipe will fit my 2007 GS350?
Thanks

RWD and AWD are different. There is absolutely no AWD aftermarket. You may have to get it from Lexus. My suggestion is to find a small custom exhaust place. I have a guy I talked to and I can use him when my pipe goes. He said well under $100 to repair. I don't suggest used Exhaust on these cars, unless it is very low mileage. This is one place Lexus saved money on.

But what exactly is different? New exhaust for GS350 is about $1300-1500, way too much for my budget.
Here is picture from eBay for 17410-31520 part:
Here is picture from other site for 17410-31460 part (which they don't have in stock):
They look identical to me.

They are very close but I know the RWD aftermarket exhaust (from many posts I read) needs some slight modification to work.
Hard to see the exact bend angle from the pics. Also, how do you know the used pipe isn't corroded (or close) under the shields?
Best to have another member confirm.
A corolla cost about the same for that pipe. Guess Toyota has to make money somewhere!

AWD and RWD have different sized mid pipes. Many have tried installed invida rwd pipes on an awd and had to custom fab stuff in order for it to work.
How bad are your pipes? For awd, its best to remove the heat shields as those collect water and rust. Eventually rusting out your pipes! But you can take your car to a good muffler shop and have them install a new section of exhaust pipe, im pretty sure it would cost a lot less. Eveny if you found a used set of awd mid pipes they are also prone to rusting.

Take it to a muffler shop and look and see you may just have a small pin hole that can get welded up and that may just cost you 20 bucks. But like I mentioned to you its best to remove the tin thats covering the pipes, once you remove them you can see inside theres a fiberglass substance that traps water.

Big thanks to gs350fan and ibidu1 for suggesting muffler shop.
I finally found local muffler shop. Dropped car at noon. They called me couple hours later and told me that left pipe (under the tin shield) broke. I got my car back at 4 pm. Cost was $125.
Car sounds like it has new muffler.
Thanks again.
