Default 2011 Lexus Gs350 AWD Dash Rattle

Hello everyone,

If you have been following up with me I recently purchased a 2011 Lexus Gs350 AWD with 88k miles for $13k. It is an awesome car and all, but there's one thing that's been driving me insane and it's the dashboard rattle that occurs when I drive it. Seems like it is coming from the center speaker area in the dash. I read about it and some people shove felt between the windshield and dash and that's seemed to help, wondering if that's really feasible without blocking your defrost vents up front? I called my local Lexus dealer and they said they can take a look at it for $150 diagnostic charge which is bull**** since it's nothing that was caused by the driver, more like a manufacturer defect (way to stand by their $50k products), so I contacted customer service and they are forwarding my case to a case manager. If anyone has had any experience with this issue and would like to share their experience I would greatly appreciate it. Might just end up shoving felt in between the cracks lol.

Felt solves it. Enjoy the car.

I shoved those thick padding strip you find at the hardware store. Still creaks and rattles when it's really cold outside. I gave up and just blast my music loud.

Yeah, I got a 2010 GS350 AWD.. same thing. I've only driven without music on 2% of the time, and when I did find out, I just turned the music back on.

Felt like everyone else. Pun intended.
