Gs 350 no ABS / check vac and Trac off
Hello guys, while driving my car suddenly have the brake pedal went hard like trying to engage abs and then it released second later check vsc/ Trac off,abs off are on. I pulled out a C0200 code.
It might be coincidence but conditions are the following: I drove my car through a high water puddle yesterday on my way to replacee the sway bar bushings, links engine mounts and trans mount.
Seems like the c0200 is pointing the right front speed sensor. I checked the cables and they seem fine, no breaks. Check pics. Probably water puddle damaged my speed sensor? I will try to disconnected it and clean it.

Inspect the connector for the speed sensor closely. Look for any moisture in the terminal area. If you find any moisture, blow out both the male/female connectors with compressed air to dry them and then use some dielectric grease when you plug them back together. I'm guessing that is your problem.
In the future, avoid driving through deep water. These cars have a ton of electronic circuits that don't like water. It can short out all kinds of things.

Still struggling with this issue. I make the clarification that the error is not constant, when the car is resting and I turn it up sometimes the everything gets back to normal no abs, check vsc and afs off blinkling but just a matter of time for them to show back up.
I purchased a brand new abs sensor for my right front wheel, tool out the wheel hub and reinstalled it and issue still persist.
I will make a final attempt to replace the cable part no 89516-30150 and also take the chance and replace both wheel hubs, found some febest parts 0182-XFLH and 0182-XFRH that includes the speed sensors, when taking the front right one I notice that the bearing a bit hard, so better to replace them, they are not that expensive after all.
I believe the problem is with the cable itself, I have no clue where that cables is plugged or routed, if anyone can guide will be very helpful!

How does the sensor pick up signal? I would take apart the front wheel sensor and reinspect the inside of the hub. Maybe theres a speed sensor ring thats broken so the sensors not reading. Also while taking it off maybe it didnt seat properly, as far as the wire before you replace it, see if you can measure voltage to the electrical connector, see if it matches the other side.

Did the brakes go hard after the puddle but before the parts were replaced, or only after you had the parts replaced?
I'm thinking something may have been damaged when they replaced your links, mounts, etc. The sensor cable may have been damaged (bent/wires broken) during the parts replacement. Was the work done by a Lexus dealer? I'd take the car back to where the work was performed and discuss your new failure.

Hello Guys, I fixed the issue, seems like my wheel hubs were the problem, when I took them out to replace the sensor I notice they were a tad hard and with a lot of rust and corrosion on them, I ordered both Left and Right and replace them 3 days ago, also just to make sure I unplugged the sensor cable from the top connection (The end oppose to the speed sensor) and sprayed it with contact cleaner and my trusted DeoxIt D100L and all is working like new again.
I will replace the cable on the right anyway just to be 100% sure.
If anyone is curious i replaced them with: Febest 0182-XFLH and 0182-XFRH. I chose Febest because as much as I love my 3GS i am actively looking for a 4GS, and dont want to invest that much on my 3GS late days..
And here is a pic of how the wheel hubs look like before replacing:

I am glad I could help others! Truly the spirit of the 3GS forum!
Regarding the issue I will recommend everyone to clean the speed sensor connector spraying it with contact cleaner every now and then A fault in reading speed can result in the car trying to engage ABS when not needed resulting in a very complicated driving situation that could lead to a dangerous situation.
Cheers!

Guys, update only a weeks of changing the wheel hubs, do not buy FEBEST they are crap, car is making a lot of noise from the front wheel hubs, now looking for OEm ones, trying to get a good deal cuz they are expensive.
Stay away from FEBEST, at least the wheel hubs.
