Just got mine back from the dealer, got me a fully loaded RX but this dealer didnt fill up my car with gas, the other dealer I used to go to did. Anyway, am I supposed to see/feel any difference from this repair?

question, i called and ask if i should leave my gas tank almost empty and if they have to drain it, the phone rep wasn't sure but she was aware of the previous recall also with the fuel so she ask me to leave it almost empty and see how it goes.
she said they need to order part and will call me again when they have it in stock, I asked for Loaner and will report back if they are willing to give me one
i also asked if we could replace my car (GS450h) fuel filter since it was never replace and just might as well for the heck of it
i was put on hold for 5mins and she return saying our car does not have fuel filter?!?!
lmao, gonna ask my SA when i go in

They did mine. Took 2.5hrs, 1/2 hr to let it cool down. Car washed afterwards. No loaners offered, but I guess that is reasonable, driving up and back in that time.
I know the tech pulled the FP fuse and let it run for a few minutes (surprising it ran that long). Then they threw me out of the repair bay .

I was told the same as most, to wait for the part to be ordered. When the part finally arrives, bring my car in for the recall work with a loaner car provided in the meantime. I was told of the same procedure by 2 different dealerships. I was told to disregard the possible fire concern because it will most likely not happen. The American way is to wait for something seriously bad to happen in order for Management to take concerns more highly.
On another note:
Just to let you all know, I have called Lexus Corporate to complain about a horrible experience. They said on their end, there is not much they can do because all dealerships are independently owned. If you have a complaint, you should address to the owner of that dealership.

Completed the recall over the labor day weekend. Dropped off the car on Friday and picked it up on Tuesday. Feels and drives no different than before. They gave me an NX300 for a loaner and filled up my gas tank after the recall.
It's been my 3rd recall since owning the car and they've always filled up my gas tank (YMMV)

They have filled my tank on every recall that I can think of. Come to think of it...I had the VVT cam gear replaced under warranty before the recall was issued for that noise problem and they filled my tank that time also.

It is a selective courtesy that is voluntarily extended to the customer. If you ask for it my guess is that you'll likely be told no. Are you familiar with the term "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth"?
