Car staying started
Lexus GS 300 2006
when I go to start the car it act like it's going to start an then it shuts off. It the dash board doesn't say check complete it will cut off.
I replaced the battery already for the key and I am not understanding what the problem could be.
I am not able to walk up to the car and the car just unlock either/
What do you think the problem could be?

Have you checked your car's battery or any of the electrical system?

It could be the starter if the car never turns over. When you say it starts does it literally turn on then die? When I replaced mine 2 months ago when I would press the start button it wouldn’t even turnover just a click. I did get lights on the dash.

So when you press the button the cars engine turns over like it wants to start, but then it doesnt actually fire on? Can you post a video of this? Because to me it sounds like your starter is fine if it turns over, the starter is doing its job. Sound to me like a fuel issue maybe the fuel rail pressure sensor.

Is there any power to anything inside the car after you try to start it?

Yes there is still power, what it is doing now. When I push start with the key in my hand it starts cuts off but as I am releasing the button it starts again.

Sounds like to me its carbon buildup your intake runners are caked up with it. Have you ever had the motor rebuilt in the old recall? If it is carbon there are ways to manually clean it out yourself or have a mechanic do it for you.
I would take it to the dealer pay for an hours of diagnostics and go from there.
