My backup camera is extremely blurry, hazy and washed out on my 2006 GS300. I know this has the lower resolution Navi system, but it is almost unusable the way it is. My wife’s 06 RX has the same Navi, and the camera is better than mine.
What methods are there to clean it? Can I take the lens apart and clean both sides? Or can the lens glass be replaced?
Where can I find replacement OEM camera?
I am am new to the Lexus world, so I haven’t figured out the good places to buy OEM parts for Lexus as yet.
EDIT1: So, I adjusted the contrast and wow, what a world of difference. My contrast was turned ALL the way down! I put it in the middle and now it looks much better. Adjust the contrast/brightness by going into reverse and press the DISP button.
Now, I looked on my camera lens and there is hazy spots on the lens. I definitely need a new lens cover. Has anyone ever replaced just the lens cover? Where can I get a replacement lens cover from? I can see some dirt inside he lens as well. How can I disassemble the camera lens?
