Question Quickjack

Does anyone lift their GS using a quickjack? I normally jack the car up using the front and rear jack points, but I recently bought a quickjack and of course I want to start using it. The side jack points though, look so weak, I don't think they are meant for anything other than the OEM scissor jack. If anyone has pics that would be great!

https://www.quickjack.com/accessorie...er-blocks.html

Did you try looking at those?

I can't use quickjack

My side skirts cover my 4 jacking points (I HATE IT, 3 shops have had to reimburse me for side skirt repairs because of it).

I will eventually get around to cutting holes out of them so I can utilize the jacking points without peeing my pants everytime I do maintanence.

Just use a spacer with a channel cutout

Hahaha! Yeah, sideskirts make it tricky, but yeah, I am considering those.

I can't quite picture how this would look; I presume like a hockey puck with a cutout? Does anyone have an underside shot of their car on a lift?

Bought some on flee bay. They’re < 6” in diameter and 2” tall with slots.

FWIW; Originally when I was installing the lift I wanted to try it rfn, realized it didn’t come with slotted pads so I dug into my carpenter collection and made some out of 2x4’s to try the lift. Worked like a charm in a pinch

B.C eh ? LOL
Your pretty close, have some bf’s there

I will probably end up ordering some of the ebay ones. The round ones are good because they can serve double duty for use on my floor jack.

Yes, quite close. With the other car club I'm involved with, we make an annual trip down to Mt. Baker each spring! I also love driving the Chuckanut drive!

For your sake I’d hope thats not your own car cause it looks like that shop lifted the car on the floor pan which in no way supports the weight of the car. It may be just the pic can’t show how the pad contacts with the underbody because thats a commercial lift which is mondo. You just dont want a contact area that is metal crushing your underbody. Hopefully that lift has large rubber pads but unless they’re slotted it can still mutilate the body seam jack point.
