Default accelerator pedal sensitivity

Hey I noticed the GS's gas pedal isn't all that sensitive. I press it down a decent amount and it doesn't rev all that much. In My corolla the gas pedal was really really sensitive. I am guessing this is normal behavior for this car? They made it less sensitive to prevent shaking and jerking, giving it more of an analog feel because all the electric throttles on toyota hoopties are really sensitive.

If you want more throttle sensitivity add a "Blitz throttle controller" I have it on my GS and I can adjust the sensitivity of the accelerator input. It does not add any HP, but does change how the car behaves to throttle inputs.

In that case it has an eco mode where the inputs are less than stock. That's the mode that I am in.

I wonder maybe you have a gummed up throttle body! The TB are electrical so when you mash the pedal the, a servo flips the butterfly open. If that butterfly is gummed up im pretty sure you will get less response. It only takes 10 min to clean the TB,disconnect the wire plug, remove the intake tube, then the 4 bolts and remove the TB from the intake. Spray a cleaner like wd40 inside and out and wipe clean with a rag. Also push the butterfly flap open with your finger and spray the edges of the shaft. Its worth a shot!
