Rear strut replacement issue
Was changing out the rear shock absorbers today, watched a video on how to do it. If you wanna see it, youtube "raceland gs350", anyway I followed what they showed except I had to bang out the 2 big bolts on the rear control arm. Actually the one holding the strut to the arm did come out just by spinning it with an impact wrench.. It was actually easier to install than to remove because the bolts just seemed to bind no matter how I jacked up the control arm. WHen installing it's super easy to line up the holes by jacking up the arm and using your hands to twist the knuckle a little.
HERE IS WHERE THE ACTUAL QUESTION BEGINS
After installing back the struts I look at the techdoc guide for the 100th time and see this
The arrows are indicating left/right and front/rear of vehicle and supposedly how the springs sit(is it saying the right spring's end should be facing the back, and left spring's end facing forward. What does it matter which way it's facing?? Why does the right springs end has to face forward? why cant it be reversed? anybody know? Gonna have to re do the job, all I had to do was assemble the strut in a way so that the spring faces the right way and the mount aligns. but i failed to read all the instructions and just jumped into it...

Don't quote me on this, but I think you're fine. You might have done it backwards but a spring sitting in between two plates of (reinforced) metal, should not matter how you rotate it.
At least the way I'm imagining it right now....
Does the car drive weird? Is the alignment really really off for the rear? (It is unadjustable)....
If not and everything feels fine, I'd leave it as is....
