Default Check PCS, VSC, ECB, and ACT Stabi

This past week I’ve been getting these errors on my 2007 GS450H. They aren’t there when I turn on the car, but once I start rolling the errors come on. It doesn’t seem to affect my driving in anyway however. Can’t think of anything that would have caused it. No work has been done recently. I tried replacing the original 12V battery, but it didn’t help. Any inputs?

Warnings: Check PCS, VSC, ECB, and ACT Stabi,

Dash lights: ABS, Slip indicator, ECB/VSC, PCS, and Master Warning Light.

Have you put a scanner on it? Have you tested the alternator? Maybe you have a corroded battery terminal.

Can I still pull a code without the engine light on? Since the battery is in the trunk, the terminals look pretty good. I will probably go to the auto store to get the "active stabilization system" battery checked even though I replaced it like 2 years ago. I haven't tested the alternator yet.

Sound like a speed sensor. gonna be hard to tell without running fault codes in the abs unit. Does it come on if you turn the steering wheel? May need the steering angle sensor re calibrated also.

Thanks man. Looks like the errors come on only when I turn my steering wheel to the right while stationary.

It's looking more and more like the steering sensor needs to be calibrated. I'll try it out when I have time.

Default Solution

Had a similar issue where I was working inside and outside my 05 4Runner and I killed my battery. I also work from home so I don’t drive it very much at all.

If you are sure the battery and alternator are both fine, all you have to do is turn your key to the ON position without starting it. Allow 5-10 seconds. Then turn on the car and both check engine and all the vso lights will turn off. — Make sure the car is on a level position.

I figured out the reason it probably came on in my case is I had to jump start the car on an angle, so it probably set off those sensors.

Luckily for me the fix was pretty simple. The shop that installed my coilovers either didn’t install the ABS sensor correctly or just left it hanging. Another shop properly installed it back in and the car happy after that.
