Hi everybody. I have a little...or actually big problem. I would like to recharge, discharge and balance my hv battery cells..all of them, because i got check hybrid system letter. I did diagnostic and found out that my 3 block were bad. I ordered 2 new cells allready and i know that its important to balance all those battery cells. Also i know that it can be done with smart rc chargers.CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE RECCOMEND SOMEKIND OF A GOOD CHARGER, WHAT REALLY DOES THE WORK. Thankx!

Source of information 1.

More recent, IMO a worthwhile read.
I'd read both of those. Take your time.
Rough procedure for a decent repair (also described by S_Keith in the second thread that I linked):
-Cycle all the modules several times (balance charge/deep discharge/repeat a few times). Discharge depth is up to you - the lower you go, the higher the chance of cell reversal and permanent damage. Record the capacities of all the modules after each discharge. New modules are 6500mah. MAKE SURE TO CLAMP THE MODULES WHILE DOING THIS! (read the threads, lots of precautions there)
-Replace "bad" modules as needed - any outliers should go. Problem 1 - this might be quite a bit more than 6 cells (3 blocks). The weakest cell defines how good the battery is. Problem 2 - now do you buy cells of similar capacity?
-Balance charge all the modules. If possible, all at the same time. This will require MANY chargers, or a single grid charger.
-Put the pack back together. Stronger modules go towards the center, as the center heats up more and kills modules faster. That way you're evening out the wear.
Consider getting a price for a new battery from a local dealer. Should be the best option if you want to keep the car.
