Except for the BT audio, IPOD, and USB they are very similar. I think the screen is higher resolution so the nav looks more modern. Downside is updating the NAV MUST be done at the dealer and is quite expensive. It has an internal HD vs the DVD system.

Do you enjoy the silver colour of your GS? I've only seen white GSs so far in person and white looks very nice. Don't know how silver one looks in person.

I love Silver, but in certain lights the panels just look a bit off. It is possible it is repainted. I like Grey/Silver (neutral) color, that is personal preference. White is also nice.
I don't like Black exterior cars. There is a black interior but the top is grey.

I don't know about funner, the IS is slightly more nimble, but the weight difference is pretty negligible at about 300lbs on the high end. There is only a .1 second difference in 0-60 between the two, that's pretty comparable. Fun is subjective, I love how much fun my GS is to drive, and my head isn't bouncing off the sunroof.
A shorter wheelbase with a lower curb weight will make it noticeably more agile and "fun to drive " compared to the GS350.
If comfort and size is a determining factor, the GS350 is roomier than the IS350 (rear seats are pretty small for most adults to comfortably fit in).

Your GS350 AWD is not going to outrun a 2nd Gen IS350 on both 0-60 and the 1/4 mile (Unless the stock GS350 AWD is documented to do a 0-60 in the 4.7-4.9 sec range with a 1/4 mile time in the 13.2-13.5 sec range like the 2IS350 has).
Here's how the previous generation 2IS350 compares to the newer generation RC350 (similar gearing and HP to the 3rd Gen IS350 but with an extra 100lbs curb weight [though still lighter than a GS350 AWD]):
