Default GS460 MPG is incredible! 31.1!!

Just had my 2008 GS460 serviced and took a couple hour trip and got 31.1 MPG!! Just turned 61,000 miles, got it in February! That mileage is just incredible!

Very doable driving on the highway and just cruising along. Reason why people on here barely see it is because most of them drive like muppets.

Its amazing though the difference between highway MPGs and city. I’m not sure if it’s just Lexus, but Ive always seen around a 5-10 MPG difference between a mix of city/suburb/highway and pure highway on every Lexus we’ve ever owned

Nothing to add about mileage, but just a comment on how beautiful your car is!

It's nothing unbelievable about it. Search for my posts, I have been posting my 460's MPG for years. The powertrain is amazing.

I’ve gotten 30.5 with my lowly 2006 GS430. Admittedly, I have to keep the speed around 60 mph so the rpms stay down. These v8s are so smooth and comfy.

Ive drove about 1500 miles now on my 460 and Haven't seen better than 18mpg mixed with mine. Lots of city and its around 14.5.
I do drive spiritedly sometimes but most of the time i keep the rpms low. Honestly expected better but not complaining.

I drove from Dallas to Chicago in my 2011 Lexus GS350 and only was able to get 24mpg, cruising anywhere from 70-85mph.

That's exactly what I get on steady cruise control at 79 mph with my 09 GS350 AWD. It would likely be better at a lower cruise speed, but that ain't happening. I drive as fast as I can get away with.

AWD vehicles get slightly lower MPG than RWD ones
