Guys,
My front driver door pillar started to peel off showing the chrome metal under it. Will the dealer replace the whole pillar (which involves removing many parts) or will they install a new film /cover over the existing pillar?

any other options to repair it?

Yeah just let it be it's not gonna rust under the metal is coated
If you paint it you must protect the whole car from overspray I'd just forget about it

The dealer will do whatever YOU are willing to pay for. The only other real option is for you to mask it off and paint it yourself.

I had the same issue because my gs was towed “by accident” when the tow truck driver jimmied by doo open he caused a small chip on the paint. 4 months later and my ear door pillar is completely pealed off.
I purchased the very same item linked above. And after seeing the quality and how they would be installed.. I just decided to wait to find either a good replacement or someone to wrap it in piano black wrap..... still waiting.
