Gs450h brake loud noise
Searched took me to 2019 supra...
Super embarrassed when I step on brake when the car (2007 gs450h) makes super loud high pitch screeching noise. Took to a Lexus shop ( not dealer), told me I need to replace both front pads and rotors. I listened to him and fork out the money. But after 2 weeks, the notice gradually reappears, not as loud but still it's there. I'm afraid will be loud like before eventually. Has anybody have this issue to there GSs?

I had the same issue, usually occurs with after-market pads. Lexus makes a "shim" kit that you need to have installed that fixes this. OEM pads should correct it. The squeal is frighting to say the least....

Brake pads will squeal regardless. If properly installed, the squeals are not audible.

My brakes used to squeal so badly, especially in reverse. One day I got fed up, tore apart the front and rear brakes. I used an angle grinder with a wire wheel blade, I sanded the rotors with it and also the meat of the pads. You want to cut through the glazing on the pads and on the rotors, this is what causes the EEEEEEEEEEE squealling. I also removed the slider pins lightly sanded them with fine grit to clean them up, on the rear I removed the caliper from the pivot pin cleaned and lubed that. Everything I liberally coated with grease, the back of the pads, the slides where the pads slide on, the silencer, the top pins, and the center pins. Anything that moves, coat it! Once you finish, drive the car in reverse and stomp on the brakes hard a few times to set the pads.
The work did not take me much, maybe an hour or less for both front and rear. Just a bit messy with all that grease. Its been over 2 years thankfully not a sound
