Does anybody know the location of the passenger side vanity mirror light fuse. I did some research but couldn't find much information only found a read up on the same topic for a second generation 2is not exactly sure if that's the same fuse and location. Any help would be great thanks

I know this thread is a bit old, but did you ever find out where the fuse was located?

On the vanity mirrors the issue with them is the light buld going bad, or the switch inside the vanity itself. What happens is on the passenger side, the vanity mirror isnt used as often as the driver side. Inside the visor is a switch and it gets triggered when you open and close the slide. What happens is because it doesnt get used often, the switch contacts build corrosion. That corrosion builds up so much that when you use it doesnt allow an electrical contact to happen. There are ways to pry open the mirror and flap assembly and then you can clean the contacts inside.

Ive had the same issue happen to me, I checked the bulb and it was fine. It turned out the be the contacts inside the visor. At times if I tap on it, it does work, but eventually it goes back to not working. I have attempted to remove the mirror assembly but found out to be a bit of a pain, so i left it alone. You can try this to your visor, remove the bulb first if it is blown great. But if the bulb is fine try tapping on it with the slide open and see if it will turn on.

Under normal circumstances I would like for it to be this. However, due to me recently replacing a dead alternator I'm going down the path of a bad fuse (granted I could be wrong). So far I've changed one that I was able to pinpoint (driver's side) dealing with my NAV Unit Display being off (non functional) and no AC controls lighting up. If I hit the radio button I would get radio stations and sound but nothing displaying on the touch screen or reactions from the buttons mounted around the screen. At first I was afraid I had a blow board on the head unit or some other controller unit, but it was simply a bad fuse.

With this being said, a fuse is certainly easier to get to and change if I knew which one it was. All others lights and switches are working as far as I can tell and the vanity light on both side mirrors were working up until the alternator died. I'll admit I haven't checked the bulbs on either side due to them working up until the winter storm we had that killed my battery and alternator.

Thank you for the information. I'll check it out later today when I have a moment. Here's hoping that is all that I find wrong.
